Distinguished guest professor at the School of Business and Economics: Professor Volker Schöer

Strategic partnership between the University of Tuebingen and the University of the Witwatersrand

Professor Volker Schöer from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa has joined the School of Business and Economics this May as a distinguished guest professor. Professor Schöer is a labour and education economist and will above all work on a comparative study with the Chair of Economic Education, Professor Dr. Taiga Brahm, and Dr. Malte Ring, investigating economic and graph competency of first year economics students in Germany and South Africa.

Professor Schöer’s appointment for the next three years coincides with the recent signing of the strategic partnership agreement between the University of Tuebingen and the University of the Witwatersrand to foster research collaboration and staff exchange between the two institutions.
